Your drawing must be neat, use a ruler or other straight edge as necessary. The furniture / items may be drawn and/or cut and pasted from magazines / clip art. You may add color to your drawing; however, a simple neat pencil drawing will be sufficient.

The 2 paragraph essay must be all in Spanish. Use vocabulary we have been practicing in class.

The final essay must be typed; double-spaced, and proofread (including spelling and accent marks). Be careful of auto-correct changing your writing.

DO NOT use online translators.   Dictionaries are to be used only when it is absolutely necessary for correct meaning.

The drawing and paragraph must be mounted together on the FRONT SIDE of one larger piece of paper to create a final project.

 In the first paragraph, describe what a good friend or boyfriend/girlfriend should be like [or should not be like]. Describe what personality characteristics he/she should have. The first paragraph must be a minimum of 4 complete sentences. You must use at least 4 vocabulary words from textbook page 87 in the first section titled “Describing the Ideal Friend.”

 In the second paragraph, describe what activities your ideal friend or boyfriend/girlfriend should do/like [or should not do/like]. The second paragraph must be a minimum of 4 complete sentences. You must use at least 4 vocabulary words from textbook page 87 in the second section titled “Describing Interest and Displeasure.”

 In the writing, you must use the following grammar:

              Be sure to use correct sentence structure for the subjunctive!

  • Direct object pronoun – at least one – Purple Notes

         (me, te, lo, la, nos, os, los, las) – Remember the direct object answers the question”Who?” or “What?” in relationship to the verb

TASK: Tell the story of your daily routine. You may choose to make a booklet, a poster or a video. Your story must be a minimum of 10 sentences. A complete sentence must have at least 3 words and at least one conjugated verb.You must include at least one illustration (or action if a video) for each of the ten sentences, for a total of 10 illustrations. Illustrations can be drawings, clip art or photos (of you or cut from a magazine). You must use 6 reflexive verbs, 2 stem-changing verbs, 3 sequence words and 3 vocabulary words from chapter 1 (see textbook page 37 for list). Underline each of these 14 elements (verbs and vocabulary) in your writing.

CRITERIA:

               At least 10 complete sentences

               At least 10 illustrations

               At least 2 stem-changing verbs (can also be reflexive if appropriate)

               At least 3 sequence words:            primero - first, después (de)- after, antes (de)-before,

Each activity mentioned must be illustrated in the advertisement. You can have one overall illustration with every activity or separate illustrations for each activity.

The illustracions can be very artisitic drawings, photos or clip art.

Include the Price of the activities in euros

The current exchange rate between dollars and euros is: $1.00  =   $0.89€.            

It must include a client’s description of his/her trip. Use the preterite and the imperfect in the description. The description must be a paragraph, a minimum of 4 complete sentences – 4 verbs in the preterite and/or imperfect.

Underline the 10 elements (6 vocabulary and 4 verbs) in your project.

In pairs, students will draw and label the front and back of the human body. Each drawing must be at least 8 inches by 10 inches in size (standard computer paper). Drawings should not be on the back of the paper, both must face front; can be mounted on another sheet of paper. You must use at least 30 body parts from your vocabulary list to label the drawings.   The drawings must be neat and school appropriate. The labels must be neat and easy to read. A diagram/template may be used in place of drawing the body. The labels can be typed.

Español II Project “Mi Casa”

TASK: Draw a floor plan of your house (one floor only). This may be your actual home or a “dream house” or otherwise fictional house. Write a 2 paragraph essay, a minimum of 8 sentences, describing one room in your house and what you do in that room.

Drawing:

Minimum Dimensions: 8 inches by 10 inches (may be larger)

Include at least 7 rooms / parts of the house from your vocabulary list

At least 10 pieces of furniture / things in the house

Writing:

The vocabulary words that you use in your writing must be also included in your drawing.

Paragraph #1:

Describe a room in your house (be sure to name the room en español).

Everything that you describe in this paragraph must also be seen in your drawing, including where each thing is located (at least 2 furniture/item vocabulary words must be used).

A minimum of 4 complete sentences and include:

Name of room and 2 furniture/household item vocabulary words

At least 4 location words (underline each)

Paragraph #2:

Describe what you do in this room.

A minimum of 4 complete sentences

You must use a minimum of 4 different verbs, all 4 must be conjugated (see green, blue and yellow verb sheets)

Your drawing must be neat, use a ruler or other straight edge as necessary. The furniture / items may be drawn and/or cut and pasted from magazines / clip art. You may add color to your drawing; however, a simple neat pencil drawing will be sufficient.

The 2 paragraph essay must be all in Spanish. Use vocabulary we have been practicing in class.

The final essay must be typed; double-spaced, and proofread (including spelling and accent marks). Be careful of auto-correct changing your writing.

DO NOT use online translators.   Dictionaries are to be used only when it is absolutely necessary for correct meaning.
