I am a 2009 graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences with a teaching endorsement.

I am a 2014 graduate of Coastal Carolina Univeristy with my Master of Education in Instructional Technology.

I am starting my sixth year teaching at Waccamaw High School. I started my teaching career here and I am excited to be continuing it here.

I am originally from Naperville, IL (a suburb of Chicago) where I was a 2005 graduate of Neuqua Valley High School. I started my college career at Bradley University never expecting to go into the field of education. Instead, I had hopes of obtaining a degree in Biology and pursuing a career in Zoology. Eventually, I decided to pursue my other love of cooking, which led me to teaching Family and Consumer Sciences. After a transfer down to the road to Illinois State University I graduated in 2009 with my Bachelor’s in Family and Consumer Sciences.

Ready for a change of scenery, I decided to apply for jobs across the country when I was offered the opportunity to start my teaching career here at Waccamaw High School. Now, starting my fifth year in South Carolina I cannot imagine being anywhere else.

I love sports, the outdoors, spending time with friends, and my Pit Bull, Bella!
